Dark Comedy Review

We’re starting a new literary journal as a printed companion to this website. We’re hoping to give it the same rambling energy, but with a bit more polish.

Since first giving notice in September, we’ve received a large number of submissions for our first issue, due out in the New York area and elsewhere in March. While we continue to accept submissions for our first issue, given the large volume of pieces we’re still receiving, we may shuffle your piece over to the pile for issue two if you’ve submitted recently or are planning to submit material soon.

Submissions need not be dark comedy, nor dark, nor comedy. We’re just running on the idea that life is dark comedy. For fiction, we’re currently particularly interested in straight-ahead realism that deals with darker issues, though not necessarily in a dark way. All genres are welcome–poetry, fiction, essays, etc..
