still unburied…consider it at the embalmer’s getting lip-sticked and adorned with modest jewelry nobody is looking to inherit.

We mean to encourage all to join us. When we are especially busy at our jobs (the dark comedy hour is like the pride of sunday), we may only have that to say to try to excuse our own need to support ourselves, hide away/renounce life or certain weeks of it, or take on engaging adventures and relations. We also have a commitment to be AD-free as long as possible, (which is so easy right now since half our hits are in house) even in the event some gimmick or happenstance poignancy afforded from our gates produced crazy hits like my man Frank Warren over at POSTSECRET.COM. (Check out his weekly community arts project. Talk about the pride of sunday.) Anyway, we wanted to especially encourage you fine folks who made it to the ice cream social last saturday to step into this little internet fiasco bourgening here inches over (styrofoam) cup level.

We want to hand folks mics and blank pages and lure them into creating things and feeling nice if possible.

Saturdays party was oh so dark comedy hour–it was a shotgun affair that got better and better the more wobbly everyone got. The sound system was screwy for the movies so the world premier of the DCH’s ‘rebirth’ piece, “oh nine” didn’t exactly go over as we had hoped. You can check it out below however…

Our live music acts braved the weak sound output as well as the droves of folks getting increasingly loud drunk, and full of tacos and pizza. Many thanks to the Great Republic of Rough and Ready, to Becca Stevens and to Dan Rodriguez and Eugene Sounds for playing pretty music free for all the kids. We’d thank the DJ too but we handed him a check for his services–the preferred method of thanks.

More DCH events to come! Hopefully before this same one next year.
Blessings!!!
